Fan Status

The status is Fault.

  1. Check whether the external power supplies encounter a power failure.

    • Yes => 2.
    • No => 3.

  2. Recover the external power supplies and wait one minute.

    Log in to the ISM, and choose Event > Event Management from the menu bar. In the displayed Event Management dialog box, click the Events tab. Select device and source, and click Query. Check whether Recovered At of the Fan Module Is Faulty event is displayed.
    • Yes => No further action is required.
    • No => 3.

  3. Check whether other objects block the rotation of fans on site.

    • Yes => 4.
    • No => 5.

  4. Remove the objects that block the rotation of fans.

    After the objects are removed, log in to the ISM, and choose Event > Event Management from the menu bar. In the displayed Event Management dialog box, click the Events tab. Select device and source, and click Query. Check whether Recovered At of the event related to the fault of the fan module is displayed.
    • Yes => No further action is required.
    • No => 5.

  5. Replace the fan module.

    After the fan module is replaced, on the ISM, choose Event > Event Management from the menu bar. In the displayed Event Management dialog box, click the Events tab. Select device and source, and click Query. Check whether Recovered At of the event related to the fault of the fan module is displayed.
    • Yes => No further action is required.
    • No => 6.

  6. Collect related event information, and send it to technical support engineers for further handling.
