SmartCache Pool

Procedure

  1. Remove faulty SSDs from a SmartCache pool.
    1. In the navigation tree, choose Storage Resources > SmartCache.
    2. In the function pane, select the SmartCache pool from which you want to remove SSDs, and click Disk Management.

      The Disk Management dialog box is displayed.

    3. In the Selected Disks list box, select the SSDs that you want to remove from the SmartCache pool, and click to move them to the Available Disks list box.
    4. Click OK.

      The Warning dialog box is displayed.

    5. Carefully read the content of the dialog box. Then select I have read the warning message carefully.
    6. Click OK.

      The Result dialog box is displayed indicating that the operation succeeded.

    7. Click OK. The SSDs are removed from the SmartCache pool.
  2. Replace the faulty SSDs with new SSDs.

  3. Add the new SSDs to the SmartCache pool.
    1. In the navigation tree, choose Storage Resources > SmartCache.
    2. In the function pane, select the SmartCache pool to which you want to add SSDs, and click Disk Management.

      The Disk Management dialog box is displayed.

    3. Add SSDs to the SmartCache pool.

      In the Available Disks list box, select the desired SSDs and click to add them to the Selected Disks list box.

    4. Click OK. The SSDs are added to the SmartCache pool.
