Thin Pool Status Check

The status is Degrade.

  1. Check whether the power indicator corresponding to the disk enclosure in which the member disk of the thin pool resides is green on.

    NOTE:

    If the power indicator is green on, the enclosure is powered on. If the power indicator is off, the enclosure is powered off.

    • Yes => 3.
    • No => 2.

  2. Power on the enclosure.

    After the device is powered on, wait until the thin pool is reconstructed, and check whether the thin pool status is normal.

    • Yes => No further action is required.
    • No => 3.

  3. Check whether a member disk of the thin pool is removed.

    • Yes => 4.
    • No => 5.

  4. Reinsert the member disk.

    After the member disk is reinserted, wait until the thin pool is reconstructed, check whether the thin pool status is normal.

    • Yes => No further action is required.
    • No => 5.

  5. Check whether a member disk of the thin pool is faulty.

    • Yes => 6.
    • No => 7.

  6. Replace the faulty disk.

    For the details about how to replace a disk, see Huawei OceanStor T V1&Sx900 Disk Replacement Guide.

    NOTICE:

    The new disk must be the same type as the faulty disk, and capacity of the new disk is no smaller than the faulty disk.

    After the disk is replaced, wait until the thin pool is reconstructed, check whether the thin pool status is normal.

    • Yes => No further action is required.
    • No => 7.

  7. Collect related event information, and send it to technical support engineers for further handling.

The status is Fault.
