Checking the Status of a Disk
Procedure
On the CLI, run the
show disk general
command to check whether the
Health Status
is
Normal
.
If yes, no further action is required.
If no, go to step 2.
Check whether the
Health Status
is
Fault
.
If yes, go to step 3.
If no, go to step 4.
Replace the faulty disk and perform the check again to observe whether the check item fails.

NOTE:
The way to replace the parts of 18500/18800/18800F/HVS85T/HVS88T is the same as S5600T/S5800T/S6800T.
If yes, go to step 4.
If no, no further action is required.
Check whether the
Health Status
is
Pre-Fail
.
If yes, go to step 5.
If no, go to step 7.
Check whether
Role
is
Member Disk
to determine a member disk.
If yes, go to step 6.
If no, replace the disk.
A precopying process will automatically start. Replace the disk after the disk precopy is complete. Then check whether the alarm is cleared.
If yes, no further action is required.
If no, go to step 7.
