of the Host Port Is Faulty (for S5500T and S3900).
After the operation is complete, check whether the link
indicator of the FC host port is steady green or blue, and whether
its Running Status on the ISM is Link Up.
Cause 2: The optical transceiver
is incompatible with the host port.
On the ISM, check whether alarm 0xE020B0004
Optical Transceiver Is Incompatible with the Host Port (for S2200T/S2600T/S5500T/S5600T/S5800T/S6800T and S2900/S3900/S5900/S6900)
or 0xE020B000C Optical Transceiver Is Incompatible with
the Host Port (for S5500T and S3900) exists.

Is Incompatible with the Host Port (for S5500T and S3900).
After the operation is complete, check whether the link
indicator of the FC host port is steady green or blue, and whether
its Running Status on the ISM is Link Up.
Cause 3: The rate of the optical
transceiver is different from that of the host port.
On the ISM, check whether alarm 0xE020B0005
Rate of the Optical Transceiver Is Inconsistent With That of Its Host
Port (for S2200T/S2600T/S5500T/S5600T/S5800T/S6800T and

After the operation is complete, check whether the link
indicator of the FC host port is steady green or blue, and whether
its Running Status on the ISM is Link Up.
Cause 4: The optical fiber is improperly
inserted or faulty.
Reinsert or replace the optical fiber.
After the operation is complete, check whether the link
indicator of the FC host port is steady green or blue, and whether
its Running Status on the ISM is Link Up.
Adjust Running
Rate of the FC host port to the same rate of the corresponding
switch port.
After the rates are adjusted to the same, check whether
the link indicator of the FC host port is steady green or blue, and
whether its Running Status on the ISM is Link Up.
Adjust the rate of the switch
port to the same rate of the FC HBA.
After the rates are the same, check whether the link
indicator of the FC host port is steady green or blue, and whether
its Running Status on the ISM is Link Up.
Yes => The procedure is complete.
No => Keep the fault environment intact and contact technical
support engineers.
Check whether the rates of
the FC host port of the storage system and the FC HBA of the host
are the same.
Yes => Keep the fault environment intact and contact technical
support engineers.
Adjust Running
Rate of the FC host port to the same rate of the corresponding
FC HBA.
After the rates are adjusted to the same, check whether
the link indicator of the FC host port is steady green or blue, and

Unavailable iSCSI Link
Cause 1: The IP address of the iSCSI host port of the storage
system or of the service network port of the application server is
incorrect.
Check whether the IP addresses of the iSCSI host port
and that of the service network port can send and receive message
to and from each other.
Yes => Keep the fault environment intact and contact technical
support engineers.
Modify the IP address of
the iSCSI host port to the same network segment as the IP address
of the service network port, and then go to 1.e.
NOTE:
The IP address of the service network port
can be modified to the same network segment as the IP address of the
iSCSI host port.
Add a route between the iSCSI
host port and the service network port to enable the communication
in between, and then go to 1.e.
Run the ping command on the application server to check whether the network connection
is established between the iSCSI host port and the service network
port.
Cause 2: Cables connecting the
application server and the storage system are loose or damaged.
Reinsert or replace the network cable connecting the
storage system and the application server.
After the operation is complete, run the ping command on the application server to check whether the network connection
is established between the application server and the iSCSI host port.
No => Keep the fault environment intact and contact technical
support engineers.
After the operation is complete,
check whether the link indicator of the iSCSI host port is steady
green, and whether its Running Status on the
ISM is Link Up.
Yes => The procedure is complete.
No => Keep the fault environment intact and contact technical
support engineers.
