Power Supply Status

The status is Voltage High, Voltage Low, Fault, or I2C Fault.

  1. Replace the power module.

    • If the product model is S2200T/S2600T/S5500T/S5600T/S5800T/S6800T => see Replacing a Power Module in OceanStor S2200T&S2600T&S5500T&S5600T&S5800T&S6800T Storage System V100R005 Troubleshooting.
    • If the product model is S2900/S3900/S5900/S6900 => see Replacing a Power Module in OceanStor S2900/S3900/S5900/S6900 Storage System V100R002 Troubleshooting.

  2. If you have any questions, please contact technical support engineers for further handling.

The status is No Input or Input abnormal.

  1. Check whether the power cable is properly plugged into the external power supply and storage device.

    • Yes => 3.
    • No => 2.

  2. Plug the power cable into the external power supply and storage device.

    After the power cable is reconnected, on the ISM, choose Event > Event Management from the menu bar. In the displayed Event Management dialog box, click the Events tab. Select device and source, and click Query. Check whether Recovered At of the event related to the fault of the power module is displayed.
    • Yes => No further action is required.
    • No => 3.

  3. Check whether the power cable is damaged by using a multimeter.

    • Yes => 4.
    • No => 5.

  4. Replace the damaged power cable.

    After the power cable is replaced, on the ISM, choose Event > Event Management from the menu bar. In the displayed Event Management dialog box, click the Events tab. Select device and source, and click Query. Check whether Recovered At of the event related to the fault of the power module is displayed.
    • Yes => No further action is required.
    • No => 5.

  5. Check whether the power input from the equipment room is normal.

    • Yes => 6.
    • No => 7.

  6. Stabilize the power input.

    After the power input is stabilized, on the ISM, choose Event > Event Management from the menu bar. In the displayed Event Management dialog box, click the Events tab. Select device and source, and click Query. Check whether Recovered At of the event related to the fault of the power module is displayed.
    • Yes => No further action is required.
    • No => 7.

  7. Check the state of the power module on the ISM.

    Log in to the ISM, and click Device Info, choose the device and click the power module in the right function area. In the displayed Power Supply Properties dialog box, check whether the Health Status of the power module is Normal.
    • Yes => 9.
    • No => 8.

  8. Replace the faulty power module.

    After the power module is replaced, on the ISM, choose Event > Event Management from the menu bar. In the displayed Event Management dialog box, click the Events tab. Select device and source, and click Query. Check whether Recovered At of the event related to the fault of the power module is displayed.
    • Yes => No further action is required.
    • No => 9.

  9. Collect related event information, and send it to technical support engineers for further handling.

The status is Not Exist.

  1. Insert the power module.

    After the power module is inserted and connected to power supply, log in to the ISM, and choose Event > Event Management from the menu bar. In the displayed Event Management dialog box, click the Events tab. Select device and source, and click Query. Check whether Recovered At of the event related to the fault of the power module is displayed.
    • Yes => No further action is required.
    • No => 2.

  2. Collect related event information, and send it to technical support engineers for further handling.
