Checking Log Collection

Procedure

  1. Use the Toolkit information collection tool to collect storage logs.

  2. Decompress the log package and you will see two folders named as the IP addresses of two controllers.

  3. Open any folder and you will see the following directory. For the msg_other decompression package in certain versions, there is a decompression password and by default it is Log_info@storage.

  4. Decompress the msg_other compression package, go to the messages directory, and find the latest message file based on the system clock/

  5. Open the message file and search for keyword OS_BackupCofferLogForPower. If the following is displayed, the poweron and poweroff files are not collected and log collection is partly successful. However, this has no impact on the upgrade and you can skip it.

  6. If no log print information is found in the screenshot, contact research and development engineers before you perform an upgrade.
