Checking Interface Module Faults

Prerequisites

  • The replacement components are ready.
  • The interface module that you want to replace has been located.
    NOTE:
You can locate the components in either of the following ways:
    • Check and record the location of the replacement components in the Device View of the management software. You are advised to light the location indicators of the components (for details, see the online help of the management software).
    • Locate the faulty components based on the location indicators.
  • Services running on the interface module that you want to replace have been stopped.
  • The cable connection positions of the interface module that you want to replace are labeled on the cables.

Precautions

  • Remove and insert an interface module with even force. Excessive force may damage the appearance or connectors of the interface module.
  • You are advised to replace an interface module within the shortest time possible.
  • Wait at least 15 seconds, and insert the interface module after removing the module.
