Checking the Status of a LUN Copy

Procedure

  1. Check whether the copy is an inter-array LUN copy.

    On the CLI, run the show lun_copy member lun_copy_id=1 command to check whether the Type is Remote.

    • If yes, go to step 2.
    • If no, go to step 4.

  2. Check whether an alarm (ID: 0xF0E10001) is displayed indicating that a link between storage arrays is faulty.

    For details about how to view an alarm on the DeviceManager, see Checking System Alarms.

    • If yes, go to step 3.
    • If no, go to step 4.

  3. Clear the link fault alarm with recommended actions.

    On the CLI, run the show lun_copy general command to check whether Health Status of the LUN copy is Normal.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to step 4.

  4. Check whether the source and the target LUNs are in normal state.

    • If yes, go to step 6.
    • If no, go to step 5.

  5. Clear the LUN fault alarm with recommended actions. Check whether Health Status of the LUN copy is Normal.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to step 6.

  6. Collect related information and contact technical support engineers.
