Checking the Status of a Replication Link

Procedure

1. Check all cable connections.
   • If any cable is removed, reinsert it. On the CLI, run the show remote_device link command to check whether Running Status is Link Up. If not, replace the cable.

     

   • If any cable is faulty, replace the cable. On the CLI, run the show remote_device link command to check whether Running Status is Link Up. If not, go to step 2.

     

   • If cable connections are normal, go to step 2.

2. Check whether the remote storage array is in normal state.
   • If the remote storage array is faulty, rectify the fault. On the CLI, run the show remote_device link command to check whether Running Status is Link Up. If the remote storage array is not faulty, check whether the array is being restarted.

     

   • If the array is being restarted, wait until it is restarted. On the CLI, run the show remote_device link command to check whether Running Status is Link Up. If not, go to step 3.

     

   • If cable connections are normal, go to step 3.

3. Collect related information and contact technical support engineers.
