Checking the HyperMetro Status

Procedure

• Cause 1: The link of the active-active remote device is abnormal. see Checking the Status of a Remote Replication.
• Cause 2: Link Status of the quorum server is Link Down.
  1. Check whether the cabling is normal.
     • Cables are removed => reinsert the cables

       Then run the show quorum_server_link general command on CLI to check whether Link Status is Link Up. If yes, no further operation is required. If no, replace cables.

     • Cables are damaged => replace the cables. Then run the show quorum_server_link general command on CLI to check whether Link Status is Link Up. If yes, no further operation is required, If no, go to 2.
     • Yes => 2.

  2. Check whether the quorum server is normal.
     • No => Troubleshoot the fault.

       Then run the show quorum_server_link general command on CLI to check whether Link Status is Link Up. If yes, no further operation is required. If no, go to 2.

     • Yes => Cause 3.

  3. If you have any questions, contact Huawei technical support engineers.
• Cause 3: Running Status of active-active consistency groups and active-active pairs is To Be Synchronized.
  1. Check whether the status of active-active links is normal.
     • No => Troubleshoot the links and go to 2.
     • Yes => 2.

  2. Run the change hyper_metro_pair synchronize pair_id=? command to start synchronization. If the synchronization fails to be started, go to 3.
