Checking Fan Status
How to Handle the Problem if Fan Status Is Fault
- Check whether the external power supply is off.
- If yes, go to step 2.
- If no, go to step 3.
- Power on the fan and wait for one minute.
Log in to the ISM and choose in the navigation tree. In the Event Management dialog box that is displayed, click Events. Select the device and event source. Click Query to check whether Recovered At of the Fan Module Is Faulty event is displayed.
- If yes, no further action is required.
- If no, go to step 3.
- Check whether the air outlet of the fan module is blocked.
- If yes, go to step 4.
- If no, go to step 5.
- Clear away wastes or sundries that affect the fan module.
Log in to the ISM and choose in the navigation tree. In the Event Management dialog box that is displayed, click Events. Select the device and event source. Click Query to check whether Recovered At of the fan event is displayed.
- If yes, no further action is required.
- If no, go to step 5.
- Replace the fan module.
- For Dorado2100 G2, replace the fan module by referring to Replacing a Fan-BBU Module in the chapter of Replacing Parts in the OceanStor Dorado2100 G2 Storage System V100R001 Troubleshooting.
- For Dorado5100, replace the fan module by referring to Replacing a Fan Module in the chapter of Replacing Parts in the OceanStor Dorado5100 Storage System V100R001 Troubleshooting.
Log in to the ISM and choose . In the Event Management dialog box that is displayed, click Events. Select the device and event source. Click Query to check whether Recovered At of the fan event is displayed.
- If yes, no further action is required.
- If no, go to step 6.
- Collect related information and contact technical support engineers.
