Checking the Status of the System Resource Pool

How to Handle the Problem if Status Is Degrade

  1. Member disks in the resource pool are removed.

    1. On the ISM, check whether Running Status of member disks in the resource pool is Offline.
      • If yes, go to 1.b.
      • If no, go to 2.
    2. Record the location of the member disk that is offline in the storage pool and re-insert the disk. Wait until the resource pool is reconstructed.
    3. Check whether Running Status of the member disk is Online and Status of the resource pool is Normal.
      • If yes, no further action is required.
      • If no, go to 2.

  2. Member disks in the resource pool are replaced by other disks.

    1. Check whether Running Status of member disks in the resource pool is Copyback or Reconstructing.
      • If yes, go to 2.b.
      • If no, go to 3.
    2. Wail until the resource pool is copied back or reconstructed.
    3. Check whether Running Status of the member disk is Online and Health Status of the resource pool is Normal.
      • If yes, no further action is required.
      • If no, go to 3.

  3. Member disks in the resource pool are faulty.

    1. Check whether Health Status of member disks in the resource pool is -- and Running Status is Fault.
      • If yes, go to 2.
      • If no, keep the fault environment intact and contact technical support engineers.
    2. Record the location of the faulty member disk in the storage resource pool.
    3. Replace the faulty disk and wait until the resource pool is reconstructed.
    4. Check whether Running Status of the member disk is Online and Health Status of the resource pool is Normal.
      • If yes, no further action is required.
      • If no, keep the fault environment intact and contact technical support engineers.
