Remote Replications
Pair Status is Invalid
- Check whether the remote replication belongs to a consistency
group.
- Run startconsistgrpverify -group consistency group id to verify the primary and secondary-end
configurations. Check again after the operation is complete.
consistency group id: ID of the consistency group
to be verified. The value can be obtained by the showconsistgrp command.
Verify consistency group 0022a11041050000.
admin:/>startconsistgrpverify -group 0022a11041050000
command has been sent.
- The check is passed => No further action is required.
- Pair Status remains to be Invalid => 4.
- On the primary end of the remote replication, run startrmtrepverify -rep remote replication id -sn secondary array sn -lun secondary lun
id to perform verification. Check again after the operation is
complete.
- remote replication id: ID of the remote replication to
be verified. The value can be obtained by the showrmtrep command.
- secondary array sn: Serial number of the storage array
on which the slave LUN resides. The value can be obtained by the showrmtrepmember command.
- secondary lun id: Slave LUN ID. The value can be obtained
by the showrmtrepmember command.
Verify remote replication 0022a11041050000 on storage array 44444444FFFFFF108109. Its
slave LUN is LUN 0.
admin:/>startrmtrepverify -rep 0022a11041050000 -sn 44444444FFFFFF108109 -lun 0
command has been sent.
- The check is passed => No further action is required.
- Pair Status remains to be Invalid => 4.

engineers for further handling.
The pair status is Interrupted.
- Check whether the remote replication link is interrupted.
In the CLI, run showrmtarraylink -array array id -link link id to check whether Connection
Status is Unconnected. array id and linkid can be obtained
using the showrmtlink command.
- Check whether cable connections are normal.
- If the cable is removed => Insert the cable. After the cable is
inserted, run the showrmtlink command in the CLI
to check whether Connection Status is Connected. If no, replace the cable.
- If the cable is damaged => Replace the cable. After the cable
is replaced, run the showrmtlink command in the
CLI to check whether Connection Status is Connected. If no, go to step 3.
- If the cable connections are normal => 3.
- Check the remote storage array status.
- If the disk array is faulty => Rectify the fault. After the fault
is rectified, run the showrmtlink command in the
CLI to check whether Connection Status is Connected. If no, check whether the storage array is
restarting.
- If the remote storage array is restarting, wait until the restart
completes. After the restart is complete, run the showrmtlink command in the CLI to check whether Connection Status is Connected. If no, go to step 4.
- If the remote storage array status is normal => 4.
