System Temperature

The Ambient Temperature Is Lower Than Operating Temperature

  1. If the ambient temperature is lower than operating temperature, add more air conditioners or raise the temperature of the air conditioner.

After the ambient temperature rises, wait for a few minutes. Log in to the ISM, and choose Event > Event Management from the menu bar. In the displayed Event Management dialog box, click the Events tab. Select device and source, and click Query. Check whether Recovered At of the Temperature of the Controller Enclosure Is Too Low or Temperature of the Disk Enclosure Is Too Low event is displayed.
    • Yes => The handling procedure ends.
    • No => 2.

  2. Collect related event information, and send it to technical support engineers for further handling.

The Ambient Temperature Is Higher Than Operating Temperature

  1. If the ambient temperature is higher than operating temperature, add more air conditioners or lower down the temperature of the air conditioner.

After lowering the room temperature, wait a few minutes. Then log in to the ISM, and choose Event > Event Management from the menu bar. In the displayed Event Management dialog box, click the Events tab. Select device and source, and click Query. Check whether Recovered At of the Temperature of the Controller Enclosure Is Too High or Temperature of the Disk Enclosure Is Too High event is displayed.
    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to step 2.

  2. Check the heat dissipation channel on site, and dredge it if the heat dissipation channel is blocked.

After the heat dissipation channel is dredged, wait a few minutes. Then choose Event > Event Management from the menu bar.
    • If no, go to step 3.

  3. Check whether the fan module is normal.

In the ISM navigation tree, click the Device Info node. In the function pane, choose the device and click the fan module. In the displayed Fan Group Properties dialog box, check whether Health Status of the fan module is Normal.

    • If yes, go to step 5.
    • If no, go to step 4.

After the fan module is replaced, wait a few minutes. Then choose Event > Event Management from the menu bar.

    • If no, go to step 5.

  5. Collect related event information, and send it to technical support engineers for further handling.
