Checking CPU Usage

Procedure

  1. Log in to CLI. Run showupgradepkginfo -t 1 to check system version.

  2. Check service pressure.

    • For Dorado2100 G2 V100R001C00SPC400 and earlier versions and Dorado5100 V100R001C00SPC700 and earlier versions, ask the customer to check whether the current service pressure is large.
    • For Dorado2100 G2 V100R001C00SPC500 and later versions and Dorado5100 V100R001C00SPC800 and later versions, go to 3.

  3. Go to minisystem mode and check processes that have high CPU usage. If os_debug_mode* processes occupy many CPU resources, end these processes.

    1. Log in to the array as user admin.

    2. Run developer and enter the debugging password (debug@storage) to go to the developer mode.

    3. Run minisystem to go to the minisystem mode.

    4. Run top to view processes that occupy a large number of CPU resources.

%CPU indicates CPU usage. By default, the process in the first row occupies most CPU resources. In most scenarios, os_debug_mode* is the biggest user of CPU resources.

    5. Run kill -9 process pid to end the os_debug_mode* process.

The PID column in the figure shows the processpid.
