Procedure

  1. Series 1: In the CLI, run developer and enter debugging passwords to go to the developer mode. Run debug to go to the debug mode.

    For details about the debugging passwords, refer to Obtaining the Debug Password.

    Series 2: In the CLI, run developer and enter debugging passwords (debug@storage). Run minisystem to go to the minisystem mode.

  2. Run ps -ef |grep upgrade to obtain the PID of the upgrade process.

    For series 1, refer to the following figure.

    For series 2, refer to the following figure.

    • If the operation is successful, go to step 3.
    • If the operation fails, go to step 8.

  3. Run kill -9 process pid to end the upgrade process.
  4. Run ps -ef |grep upgrade to obtain the PID of the upgrade process. Check whether the PID of the upgrade process is changed.

    • If yes, the upgrade ends. No further action is required.
    • If no, go to step 3.

  5. Log in to the other controller and run steps 1 to 4.
  6. Run showupgradepkginfo -t 1.

    Package Status is Running.

  7. Run showupgradestatus.  

    If Step Status is --, the upgrade process is inactive.
