Wear an ESD wrist strap, ESD gloves, and ESD clothes.
Pull out the mini SAS cables or fabric cables.
Completely raise the latches on the expansion module in the directions of the arrows and pull out the expansion module, as shown in steps (1) and (2) in Figure 1.

Place the removed expansion module into an ESD bag.
Take the spare expansion module out of its ESD bag.
Insert the replacement expansion module into the empty slot, as shown in step 1 in Figure 2.
Shut the latches of the expansion module, as shown in step (2) in Figure 2.

Insert the mini SAS cables or fabric cables.
View the power and alarm indicators on the expansion module, and check whether the expansion module was successfully installed.
If the power indicator is steady on and the alarm indicator is off, the expansion module is successfully installed.
If the power indicator is off or the alarm indicator is on, the expansion module has not been installed properly. In this case, remove and reinsert the expansion module.
After replacing the expansion module, log in to the DeviceManager and check whether the alarm is cleared.
If yes, no further action is required.
If no, go to step 2.
