Checking a PCIe Link
Link Problem Between the PCIe Interface Module and the Switch
- Log in to the switch. Run the drvpcie showdswinfo command and check whether the command is successfully executed.
- If yes, go to step 2.
- If no, replace the switch because it enters the OS_only mode.
- Check whether a networking alarm is displayed.
- If yes, go to step 3.
- If no, go to step 4.
- Deploy the network again correctly.
- Check whether an alarm is displayed indicating that an optical module is faulty.
- If yes, go to step 5.
- If no, go to step 6.
- Replace the optical module of the port and the optical module of the peer port in sequence. Perform the check again to determine whether the check is passed.
For details about how to replace an optical module, see Replacing an Optical Module.
- If yes, no further action is required.
- If no, go to step 6.
- Check whether an alarm is displayed indicating that an IIC channel between a controller and a switch is faulty.
- If yes, replace the field replaceable unit (FRU).
- If no, go to step 7.

PCIe Mirror Link Fault
- Log in to the DeviceManager and check whether an alarm is displayed indicating that the communication between the controllers in the controller enclosure is abnormal.
- If yes, go to step 2.
- If no, go to step 9.
- Make sure that the system is in single-controller state, namely, the primary controller runs properly and the secondary controller is not working, with all the services switched to the primary controller.
- If yes, no further action is required.
- If no, go to step 3.
- Perform one-click collection of system logs and send the logs to Huawei R&D engineers.
- Apply for or replace a new controller of the same model that is in good condition.
- Remove the secondary controller and insert a new controller. Check whether the mirror link is restored to the normal state.
- If yes, replace the secondary controller.
- If no, go to step 6.
- Apply for a service interruption from the customer, and confirm that the services are interrupted.
- Remove the new controller and insert the secondary controller.
- Remove the primary controller and insert the new controller. Check whether the mirror link is restored to the normal state.
- If yes, replace the primary controller.
- If no, replace the controller enclosure.
- Collect related information and contact technical support engineers.
