Checking the Snapshot Health Status

Procedure

1. On the CLI, run the show snapshot general command to check whether Health Status of the snapshot is Fault.

   

   NOTE:

   For example, in the preceding figure, Health Status of the snapshot is Fault, and Source LUN ID is 0.
   • If yes, go to step 2.
   • If no, no further action is required.

2. On the CLI, run the show lun general lun_id=0 command to check whether Health Status and Running Status of the snapshot's source LUN are Fault and Offline respectively.

   

   NOTE:

   For example, in the preceding figure, Health Status of the snapshot's source LUN is Fault, and Running Status is Offline.
   • If yes, go to step 6.
   • If no, go to step 3.

3. On the CLI, run the show lun general lun_id=0 command to check whether Health Status and Running Status of the snapshot's source LUN are Fault and Online respectively.

   

   NOTE:

   For example, in the preceding figure, Health Status of the snapshot's source LUN is Fault, and Running Status is Online, and Pool ID is 0.
   • If yes, go to step 4.
   • If no, go to step 6.

4. On the CLI, run the show alarm level=major command to check whether an alarm is displayed indicating that a disk in the disk domain where the storage pool resides is removed.

   

   You can view detailed information about an alarm based on an alarm ID. On the CLI, run the show alarm sequence=2959 command (where 2959 indicates the alarm ID of the alarm obtained in the last step) to view the alarm indicating that a disk is removed.

   
   NOTE:

   For example, in the preceding figure, the disk in slot 11 is removed from disk enclosure CTE0.
   • If yes, reinsert the removed disk and go to step 5.
   • If no, go to step 6.

5. After the storage pool is reconstructed, run the show snapshot general command on the CLI to check whether Health Status of the snapshot is Normal.

   

   • If yes, no further action is required.
   • If no, go to step 6.
