Checking the Hotspare

Procedure

  1. Check whether an alarm is displayed indicating that a disk is removed from the disk domain (ID: 0x100F00A0010).

    For details about how to view an alarm on the DeviceManager, see Checking System Alarms.

    • If yes, reinsert the removed disk and go to step 2.
    • If no, go to step 3.

  2. Perform the check again to observe whether the check item fails.

    • If yes, go to step 3.
    • If no, no further action is required.

  3. Check whether an alarm is displayed indicating that a disk in the disk domain is abnormal (fault alarm ID: 0xF00A0001, imminent-fault alarm ID: 0xF00A0003, slow-disk alarm ID: 0xF00A000D or 0xF000A005F).

    • If yes, replace the faulty disk.
    • If no, go to step 4.
