Configuring Remote Maintenance

Context

You need to configure remote maintenance parameters and site information.

Personal data such as email addresses are required to receive alarm notification emails. You must comply with the laws of involved countries or the Huawei Privacy Policy and take measures to protect personal data.

Procedure

1. On the menu bar, select Settings.
2. In the navigation tree, choose Remote Maintenance > Remote Maintenance Information.
3. Configure remote maintenance. Table 1 describes related parameters.
   

   Table 1 Remote maintenance parameters

   Parameter	Description	Value
   Maintenance Status	Enables or disables remote maintenance. NOTE: If the remote maintenance status is Enable, the system sends alarms of specified severities to email addresses of Notification Object. You can set the value to Enable or Disable.	[Example] Enable
   Alarm Severity	Alarm severities (critical, major, warning, and info) can be used to filter alarms. If the remote maintenance status is Enable, the system sends alarms of specified severities to email addresses of Notification Object. One or more severities can be selected.	[Example] Critical
   Language	Notification email language.	[Example] English
   Description	Brief description about remote maintenance, helping the maintenance personnel learn about the rule without viewing the details. The description contains a maximum of 128 characters.	-

4. In the Notification Object area, you can add, modify, and delete notification objects.
   1. Add notification objects.
      1. Click Add. The Add Notification Object page is displayed.
      2. Enter the email addresses of the notification objects and remarks based on site requirements.
      3. Click OK.
   2. Modify a notification object.
      1. Select the notification object that you want to modify and click Modify in the operation area.

         The Modify Notification Object dialog box is displayed.

      2. Enter a new email address for the notification object and remarks based on site requirements.
      3. Click OK.
   3. Delete notification objects.
      1. Select notification objects that you want to delete and click Delete in the operation area.
      2. Click OK.
