Creating a Site

Resources in a DR system are organized in sites. You can configure DR and protection for resources at a site or across sites. You need to create a site based on the DR network mode (local or remote).

Context

The following lists the active-passive DR solution's requirements on the number of sites.
One eReplication: three local sites.
The following lists the multi-DC and four-copy DR solution's requirements on the number of sites.
One eReplication: four local sites.

Procedure

On the menu bar, select Resources.
In the navigation tree, select the management server where the sites are to be added.
Click Create Site.

Configure the site information by referring to Table 1.

Parameter	Description	Value
Name	Site name	[Value range] Contains 4 to 32 characters. Contains letters, digits, underscores (_), and hyphens (-), and cannot start with a hyphen (-).
Description	Description of a resource pool	[Value range] Contains 0 to 255 characters. [Example] Local site

Click OK.
