Creating a Backup Storage Pool

Prerequisites

• You have purchased a backup safekeeping library.
• You have created and backed up a cloud site with the same project ID as the vault.
• The storage array supports Cloud Backup.

Procedure

1. On the menu bar, clickResources.
2. On the navigation bar, select the site for which you want to create a backup storage pool and select Storage in the navigation tree.
3. Click the Backup Storage Pool tab and click Create Backup Storage Pool.
   1. Set the name and description for the backup storage pool.
   2. Select a proper alarm threshold (%) ranging from 1 to 100.
   3. Select the required backup storage type. The operation varies with backup storage types. For details, see Table 1.

   Backup Storage Type	Procedure
   Backup safekeeping library of HUAWEI CLOUD	Select the created site. Select the purchased backup safekeeping library. (Optional) Select an available proxy. If no proxy is available, click Create Proxy. For details about how to create a proxy, see Creating a ProxyCreating a Proxy. You can select Public Network Acceleration. (Optional) Select Offline Storage Unit. Select the Teleport offline transmission device of HUAWEI CLOUD Data Express Service (DES), to back up data to Object Storage Service (OBS). When applying for a Teleport device, you cannot set the import directory. Set the correct share path.
   S3	Select the required protocol. Enter the correct AK, SK, service host, and bucket name. (Optional) Select an available proxy. If no proxy is available, click Create Proxy. For details about how to create a proxy, see Creating a ProxyCreating a Proxy. You can select Public Network Acceleration.

4. Click OK.

Follow-up Procedure

After creating a backup storage pool, you can modify and delete the information about the backup storage pool. For details about subsequent operations, see Table 2.
