Viewing Monitored System Performance Information

The system performance menu shows the usage of system resources. By monitoring system performance, you can view the usage of CPUs, memories, and disk capacity to understand system running status and locate potential faults.

Procedure

  1. On the menu bar, select Settings.
  2. In the navigation tree, choose System Monitor > System Performance.
  3. In the Thresholds area, change the thresholds. Table 1 describes related parameters.

    Table 1 Threshold parameters

    Parameter

    Description

    Value

    CPU Usage

    CPU usage threshold.

The value ranges from 1 to 99.

    [Example]

    90

    Memory Usage

    Memory usage threshold.

The value ranges from 1 to 99.

    [Example]

    90

    Disk Usage

    Disk usage threshold.

The value ranges from 1 to 99.

    [Example]

    90

  4. Click OK.
  5. In the function pane, view the usage of CPUs, memories, disk capacity, and Gauss database capacity in the System Performance area. For details, see Table 2.

The system collects performance data at intervals.

Table 2 Collecting system performance statistics

    Parameter

    Description

    CPU

If the CPU usage has exceeded the threshold for three consecutive times, an alarm is displayed on eReplication. When the CPU usage is lower than the threshold, the alarm is cleared automatically.

    Memory

If the memory usage has exceeded the threshold for three consecutive times, an alarm is generated on eReplication. When the memory usage becomes lower than the threshold, the alarm is cleared automatically.

    Disk

If the disk usage exceeds the threshold, an alarm is generated on eReplication. When the disk usage becomes lower than the threshold, the alarm is cleared automatically.

    Database(Gauss)

Monitors the used capacity and available capacity of the Gauss database.
