When you use the array snapshot DR technology to implement DR protection for service data, eReplication allows you to make a recovery plan based on the created protected group and implement one-click data recovery at the active end based on the recovery plan.
Prerequisites
- Protected groups have been created and are not used in any recovery plan.
- Protected groups to be enabled are not in the Invalid state.
Context
- In the Air Gap snapshot copy recovery scenario, the replication port of the Air Gap backup storage is automatically enabled and disabled before and after the recovery process. You need to manually control firewall connectivity before triggering copy restoration. The link control of the recovery process and protection process does not affect functions of each other.
- In the Air Gap snapshot copy recovery scenario, the Air Gap replication relationship needs to be reversed to ensure that the snapshot rollback process is normal. If other HyperMetro or replication relationships exist on the active end of the Air Gap replication relationship, you need to manually split or reverse the pairs.
- SAN HyperMetro + Air Gap backup (DR Star) restoration scenario: The replication relationship between the two links in the Air Gap DR Star needs to be reversed to ensure that the snapshot rollback process is normal.
Procedure
- On the menu bar, select Utilization > Data Restore.
- Click Create.
The Create Data Restore Plan page is displayed.
- Set Name and Description of the protected group. Table 1 describes related parameters.
