If the protected objects in a protected group or the involved Kubernetes clusters are changed, you need to refresh the resource information of the protected group.
Table 1 describes protected group information change items and operations for refreshing protected groups after protected group information is changed.

Information Change Description |
|---|---|
Protected Group |
Application resources are changed, for example, PVC/POD resources are added, modified, or deleted. |
1. A protected group whose protection policy is cross-storage backup for application resources cannot be manually refreshed.
2. When you refresh a protected group whose protected object is application resources, if new resources are added to the application resources and the capacity of the new resources is greater than the remaining capacity of the license, the refresh fails and the status of the protected group is set to Invalid. Manual protection cannot be performed. The existing periodic scheduling policy is not affected. You can delete unnecessary resources or import a license with sufficient capacity to refresh the protected group.
