Creating a Site

Resources in a DR system are organized in sites. You can configure DR and protection for resources at a site or across sites. You need to create a site based on the DR network mode (local or remote).

Note

In DR scenarios, the production cluster and DR cluster must be planned at different sites.

Procedure

  1. On the menu bar, click Resources.
  2. In the navigation tree, select the management server where the sites are to be added.
  3. Click Create Site.
  4. Set the site information. Table 1 describes the parameters.

    Name of the site to be created

    • Contains 4 to 32 characters.
    • Contains letters, digits, underscores (_), and hyphens (-), and cannot start with a hyphen (-).

    Description

    Remarks of the site to be created.

    [Value range]

    Contains 0 to 255 characters.

    [Example]

    Local site

    Air Gap Network Isolation Zone

    Whether to set the site as a network isolation zone.

    This option is not selected by default.

    If this option is selected, the created site is an Air Gap network isolation zone.

    NOTE:

    In the Kubernetes DR scenario, do not select Air Gap Network Isolation Zone.

  5. Click OK.
