Creating a Recovery Plan

Prerequisites

• Protection groups have been created and are not used in any recovery plan.
• Protection groups to be enabled are not in the Invalid state.

Procedure

1. On the menu bar, choose Utilization > Data Restore.
2. Click Create.

   The Create Data Restore Plan page is displayed.

3. Set Name and Description of the recovery plan. In Protection Plan, select the protected group for data recovery.
   

   • Name: contains 4 to 32 characters, including letters, digits, hyphens (-), and underscores (_), but cannot start with a hyphen (-).

   • Description: contains 0 to 255 characters.
   1. If the protection policy of the selected protected group is Local Storage Backup for Application Resources or Cross-Storage Backup for Application Resources, set the parameters as described in Table 1.

      Parameter	Description	Setting
      Namespace	Select the target namespace for backup and restoration.	Select a value from the drop-down list box.
      Resource Prefix	Prefix of the resource name during backup and restoration. This parameter is mandatory.	The value can contain only lowercase letters and hyphens (-) and must start with a lowercase letter. The length cannot exceed 31 characters.
      Post-hook	Select the HOOK to be executed after the backup and restoration. This parameter is optional.	Set this parameter as required.
      Reserve Original IP Address	Whether to retain the original IP address after backup and restoration.	This option is not selected by default.
      Retain Original Port	Whether to retain the original port after backup and restoration.	This option is not selected by default.

   2. If the protection policy of the selected protected group is Cross-Cluster Replication for Application Resources, set the parameters as described in Table 2.

      Parameter	Description	Setting
      Post-hook	Select the HOOK to be executed after planned migration or fault recovery. This parameter is optional.	Determine whether to select objects as required.

   3. If the protection policy of the selected protected group is Cross-Cluster Replication for Data Volumes, select it.

4. Click OK.
