Reconstructing the Same-city DR Center (Cascading Network)

Prerequisites

• Physical and logical links have been established between the production center and the same-city DR center and between the same-city DR center and the remote DR center.
• The same LUNs have been created on the storage array in the same-city DR center as those in the production center.
• The DR management server in the same-city DR center has been recovered, and the DR network communication is normal.

Procedure

1. Log in to the storage array in the production center. Create a synchronous remote replication relationship between the storage arrays in the production center and same-city DR center.
2. Log in to the storage array in the same-city DR center. Create an asynchronous remote replication relationship between the storage arrays in the same-city DR center and remote DR center.
3. Log in to DR management server eReplication in the same-city DR center. Add hosts and storage arrays of the same-city DR center to the corresponding site.
4. Delete the existing protected groups and recovery plans.
5. Re-create protected groups and recovery plans.

Result

• The synchronous remote replication relationship is restored between the storage arrays in the production center and same-city DR center, and the asynchronous remote replication relationship is restored between the storage arrays in the same-city DR center and remote DR center.
• protected groups and recovery plans are re-created successfully on the cascading network. On the DR management server eReplication in the same-city DR center, you can see a complete DR topology and perform DR testing based on recovery plans.
