By viewing the visualized global physical topology, you can quickly learn about the topology of the entire network between sites and monitor the status of devices such as hosts and storage arrays and links between devices.
Context
Only users who have the permission to view the topology can view the global topology. (The topology may contain resources that the user does not have the permission to access.)
Procedure
- On the menu bar, choose
Monitor > Topology.
- View the physical topology exists in the system.
- You can move your cursor over a topology object to view its basic information. Topology objects are visualized objects in the actual network.
You can follow instructions in Table 1 to adjust the topology.

Click to save the topology of your browsing history, the next view topology remains the saved location.

Select or deselect Show Legend to display or hide topology legends.

Refresh period
|
Select different refresh periods to adjust the interval between refreshing the global topology.

- You can perform the following operations to view details about devices and links.
- Double-click the icon of the storage array or right-click the icon of the storage array and choose Open Device Management from the shortcut menu. The device management page is displayed. You can view the storage configuration information.
- Double-click a link between storage arrays or right-click a link and choose View Link from the shortcut menu to view link details.
