What Can I Do If a Planned Migration or Fault Recovery Fails Because Alarms Affecting VM Recovery Exists on VRG at the DR Center in Host-Based Replication Scenarios

Symptom

In a host-based replication scenario, a planned migration or fault recovery fails to be executed because alarms affecting VM service recovery exists on the VRG at the DR center.

Possible Causes

On the VRG at the DR center, alarms about VMs relating to the recovery plan exist.

Procedure

  1. Log in to UltraVR at the DR center. On the menu bar, choose Monitor > Alarms > Current Alarms and view current alarms.
  2. Find alarms whose source is the VRG and relating to VMs in the recovery plan.
  3. In the Name information area, click the alarm name. View the alarm details, rectify the fault by following the instructions. After the alarm is rectified, perform the planned migration or fault recovery again.

    If the alarm cannot be rectified, manually confirm or clear the alarm and perform the planned migration or fault recovery again without affecting services.
