If information about storage devices and VMs in a protected group changes and the automatic polling period of UltraVR is not reached, manually refresh information about storage devices and VMs before performing DR operations. You can refresh resource information in UltraVR periodic polling mode or manual refresh mode.
Context
- UltraVR periodic polling
UltraVR updates the added resources periodically. Table 1 lists the update periods of various resources.
- Manual refresh
Table 2 describes the storage and VM information change items and the device update operations that need to be performed after the storage and VM information is changed.
If only one UltraVR is deployed, you need to update the site where resources are changed.

Storage device
Information about logical ports and HyperMetro is changed. For example, logical ports are added or deleted, or other attributes such as status are changed.
VM
- Add or delete VMs, or move VMs to other storage devices.
- The storage pool used by the datastore is changed.
- The VM configuration is changed. For example, a disk is added to or deleted from the VM, or the NIC attributes are changed.
NOTE:If a storage device is changed, you need to refresh the corresponding storage device.
Procedure
- On the menu bar, select
Resources. - In the navigation tree, select the site where the network elements (storage devices or VMs) reside and click Refresh.
In the upper right corner of the main page, click
, in Background Task, you can view details about the refreshing. If the application environment is a cluster and information about hosts in the host group is changed, you can refresh the host group to refresh information about all the hosts in the host group. That is, click Refresh in the Operation button area of the host group.
