Symptom
During the system running, if an alarm indicating VRG pairing failure, VRG NE offline, DR VM disconnection, abnormal VRG replication service, or abnormal VRG cron service is displayed on UltraVR, the VRG may be faulty. Follow instructions in this section to troubleshoot the fault.
Possible Causes
The VRG VM is faulty.
Procedure
- Identify the fault cause according to the alarm information.
- VRG NE offline: Locate the disconnection cause. After the VRG NE status changes to online, troubleshooting is complete.
- VRG VM link failure: Re-configure the network adapter to connect to the peer VRG. After the link is down, troubleshooting is complete.
- Other cause: Perform Step 2.
- Check whether the alarm can help rectify the VRG fault.
- If yes, no further action is required.
- If no, contact Huawei technical support.
- Log in to FusionCompute at the production site. For details, see section Logging In to the FusionCompute of the FusionCompute V100R005Cxx Software Installation Guide.
- Select VM and Template.
The VM and Template page is displayed.
- Select the faulty VRG VM, and choose Operation > Stop.
Stop the VRG VM as prompted. When the VM status changes to Stopped, the VM is stopped.
- Log in toUltraVR, and click
Resources. - In the navigation tree on the left, choose xxSite > FusionSphere, where xxSite is the center where the faulty VRG resides.
- Select the faulty VRG, select the VRG VM in the Associated VM area, click Move, and select Force Remove.
Migrate the VM from the VRG to a normal one.
- Select a normal VRG from the VRG list to support the VM, click Start, and select Consistency verification to enable DR.
