What Can I Do If the logcache Disk Is Damaged

Symptom

During the system running, if an alarm indicating I/Os failed to be written to the VRG disk is displayed on UltraVR, use the following method to quickly restore services.

The logcache disk of the VRG is the second disk of 100 GB.

Possible Causes

The logcache disk of the VRG is damaged.

Fault Diagnosis

None

Procedure

  1. Log in to FusionCompute of the production center. For details, see section Logging In to the FusionCompute of the FusionSphere Virtualization Suite Product Documentation.
  2. Select VM and Template.

    The VM and Template page is displayed.

  3. Select the VRG VM, and choose Operation > Stop.

    Stop the VRG VM as prompted. When the VM status changes to Stopped, the VM is stopped.

  4. Log in to UltraVR, and click Resources.
  5. In the navigation tree on the left, choose xxSite > FusionSphere > VRG, where xxSite is the site where the faulty VRG resides.
  6. Select the faulty VRG, select the VRG VM in the Associated VM area, click Move, and select Force Remove.

    Migrate the VGR from the VRG to another VRG.

  7. On FusionCompute, unbind the logcache disk from the VRG VM if the logcache disk is corrupted. For details, see Detaching a Disk from a VM of the FusionSphere Virtualization Suite Product Documentation.

    The logcache disk of the VRG is the second disk of 100 GB.

  8. Bind another logcache disk to the VRG VM. For details, see Attaching a Disk to a VM of the FusionSphere Virtualization Suite Product Documentation.
  9. On FusionCompute, choose Operation > Start in the line where the VRG VM is displayed.

    Start the VRG VM. When the VM status changes to running, the VM is started.
