A Message Is Displayed Indicating that the Device or Resource Does Not Exist When DR Operations Failed To Be Performed

Symptom

Failed to perform the DR operations. Error message Please check whether the remote replication exists on the device. If it exists on the device, refresh the device and retry. is displayed.

Possible Causes

After the storage or VM information in the protected group changes, the information is not refreshed through automatic polling or is not manually refreshed to UltraVR.

Procedure

  1. Log in to UltraVR.

    • In the single-RD scenario, go to Step 2.
    • In the dual-RD scenario, go to Step 3.

  2. After logging in to UltraVR, click Resource in the navigation tree. Select the production and DR sites and perform Step 4 to Step 6.
  3. Log in to UltraVR, and click Resource in the navigation tree. Perform Step 4 to Step 6 for sites under each UltraVR.
  4. Click Storage under the selected site in the navigation tree, select the storage device whose information has been changed, and click Refresh in the Operation area.

    After the update, the latest configuration data of the site is synchronized to UltraVR.

  5. Click FusionSphere under the selected site in the navigation tree. Select the storage device whose information has been changed, and click Refresh in the Operation area.

    After the update, the latest configuration data of the VMs of the site is synchronized to UltraVR.

  6. Perform DR operations again.
