Refreshing Resources Related to a Protected Group

If information about storage devices and hosts in a protected group changes and the automatic polling period of eReplication is not reached, manually refresh information about storage devices and hosts before performing DR operations.

You can refresh resource information in eReplication periodic polling mode or manual refresh mode.

Context

Procedure

  1. On the menu bar, click Resources.
  2. In the navigation tree, select the site corresponding to the component, choose Host, locate the row that contains the host group in the list, and click Refresh in the Operation area.
  3. In Execution Result, check whether the status of all hosts is Succeeded. If the execution result is abnormal, contact technical support engineers.
  4. On the shortcut bar in the upper right corner of the main window, click and view the task execution status in Background Task.

    If information about hosts in the host group is changed, you can refresh the host group to refresh information about all the hosts in the host group. That is, click Refresh in the Operation area of the host group.

  5. On the menu bar, choose Protection.
  6. Click the protected group that you want to refresh and click Refresh in the Operation area.
  7. Select I have read and understand the consequences associated with performing this operation and click OK. Information about protected objects in the protected group is refreshed.

    On the shortcut bar in the upper right corner of the main window, click and view the task execution status in Background Task.
