Modifying a Protection Policy

A protection policy defines the protection mode and replication policy that the DR management system uses to protect objects. It is generated automatically when a protected group is created. The protection policy needs to be modified based on the site requirements in the DR management process.

Precautions

Protected groups in the Executing, Disabled, Locked, or Invalid state cannot be modified.
When modifying the protection policy, you can configure the pre-hook and post-hook. To perform planned migration, set the onError field of the post-hook to Continue.

Procedure

On the menu bar, click Protection.
Select the protected group whose protection policy is to be modified and click the Policy tab in the details area.
Click Settings to modify the replication policy of the protected group.
A protection policy template defines the DR technology and protection mode for protected groups. When you modify a protection policy, you can only modify the corresponding ones. Click OK.
