NAS File Systems

Before configuring disaster recovery (DR) services, check the storage environments of the production end and the DR end where NAS file systems reside. If the storage environments do not meet requirements, modify storage configurations.

Precautions

If the replication link of the NAS is an FC link, the local FC port of the FC link cannot be used for host mapping. Otherwise, the host mapping function will be affected after the port is disabled.

Check Item

  1. Check whether NAS for which the Air Gap protected group is created is the secondary end of the asynchronous remote replication.
  2. Ensure that the recovery policy and synchronization type of the remote replication where NAS resides are manual.
  3. Unshare the NAS mapped from the DR site to the DR host or test host to ensure that the NAS is not occupied.
