This section describes how to add a node for a service that has been enabled in a storage pool.
Prerequisites
- At least one service is enabled for nodes in a storage pool.
- Some nodes in a storage pool do not have services enabled.
- The object service is supported only when Service Type is set to Intelligent video and image and a license that supports SmartInterworking is imported. The object service is not supported in IVS scenarios.
- When Service Type is set to Intelligent video and image or Backup and archiving, the HDFS service is not supported.
Procedure
- Choose Resources > Resources > Services > Basic Service.
- Click Enable Service.
The Enable Service page is displayed.
- Select the storage pool to which you want to add a node.
- Set Operation to Add Node.
- In the Available Nodes area on the left, select one or more desired nodes. They will be automatically added to the Selected Nodes area on the right.
In the Service Type area, view the services to be enabled for the new node. The selected services are those enabled in the storage pool. All enabled services in the storage pool must also be enabled on the new node.
- Click OK.
