Adding an Object Cluster

This section describes how to add an object cluster to a region.

Prerequisites

Procedure

  1. Choose Settings > Object Service Settings > Global Namespace.
  2. Click Add Object Cluster.

    The Add Object Cluster page is displayed on the right.

  3. Set object cluster parameters. Table 1 describes related parameters.

    Parameter

    Description

    Name

    Name of a cluster.

    The name cannot be modified after the cluster is created.

    [Value range]
    • The name contains 1 to 128 characters.
    • The name can contain only letters, digits, hyphens (-), and underscores (_), and must start with a letter and cannot end with a hyphen (-) or underscore (_).

    Floating Mgmt. IP Address

    Floating IP address used for logging in to DeviceManager of the current cluster and communication between clusters. This parameter cannot be set using the secondary management IP address.

    The name cannot be modified after the cluster is created.

    Cluster Domain Name

    Domain name of a cluster.

    [Value range]

    • A domain name contains 3 to 253 characters, including lowercase letters, digits, and hyphens (-). A sub-domain name cannot start or end with a hyphen (-).
    • The domain name must contain a second-level domain name. Each sub-domain name contains 1 to 63 characters and is separated from each other using periods (.). The top-level domain name cannot contain digits only.
    • A maximum of 128 domain names with no hierarchical relationship can be entered. Separate the domain names with semicolons (;).
    NOTE:

    The number of cluster domain names must be the same as that of global domain names.

    Username

    User name for logging in to DeviceManager.

    Password

    Password for logging in to DeviceManager.

  4. Click OK.
