Browsing On-Access Scan Policy Information

Prerequisites

• An on-access scan policy has been configured in the system.
• The storage system has a built-in on-access scan policy named default that: triggers scanning when a CIFS-based shared file is closed, scans files with a size of less than or equal to 512 MB, has a timeout interval of 5 seconds, and allows file access after a scan timeout.

Context

• On the On-Access Scan Policies tab page, click to refresh on-access scan policies.
• On the On-Access Scan Policies tab page, click to export a list of on-access scan policies.
• On the On-Access Scan Policies tab page, click next to a parameter and enter a keyword to search for desired on-access scan policies.
• On the On-Access Scan Policies tab page, click and select desired on-access scan policy parameters to be viewed.

Procedure

1. Choose Settings > Data Security > Antivirus Service > On-Access Scan Policies.
2. Select a desired account from the Account drop-down list in the upper left corner.
3. View information about the scan policies.

   Table 1 describes related parameters.

   Table 1 Scan policy parameters

   Parameter	Description
   Name	Name of a scan policy. NOTE: You can click the name of a scan policy to view its details and manage it.
   ID	ID of a scan policy.
   Period Not Scanned	Period during which antivirus scan is not implemented.
   File Type Not Scanned	Type of files that do not require virus scanning. NOTE: If there are too many types of files that do not require virus scanning, they cannot be fully displayed in the list. You can click the name of a policy to view its details.
   File Path Not Scanned	Path of files that do not require virus scanning.
   Largest Scannable File	Files whose size is smaller than or equal to the value are scanned for viruses. NOTE: If Limit is not selected, the size of files to be scanned for viruses is not limited.
   Timeout (Seconds)	Timeout interval for virus scanning. The default value is 5 seconds.
   Allow Access upon Timeout	Whether to allow file access after virus scanning times out.
   Trigger Policy	Policy for triggering virus scanning. The options are as follows: Close a file Virus scanning is triggered when a CIFS-based shared file is closed. Open/Close a file Virus scanning is triggered when a CIFS-based shared file is opened or closed.
