Creating an On-Demand Scan Policy

Prerequisites

The storage system and antivirus servers are running properly.

Procedure

1. Choose Settings > Data Security > Antivirus Service > On-Demand Scan Policies.
2. Select a desired account from the Account drop-down list in the upper left corner.
3. Click Create.

   The Create On-Demand Scan Policy page is displayed on the right.

4. Set the scan policy's parameters.
   Table 1 describes related parameters.

   Parameter	Description
   Name	Name of the scan policy. [Value range] The name contains 1 to 127 characters. The name can contain only letters, digits, underscores (_), hyphens (-), and periods (.). The name must be unique.
   File Type Not Scanned	Type of files that do not require virus scanning. In the File Type Not Scanned text box, enter file name extensions and separate them with commas (,), semicolons (;), or by pressing Enter. You can enter maximum of 200 file types. A single file type contains 1 to 8 characters, including only letters, digits, asterisks (*), question marks (?), and underscores (_).
   File Path Not Scanned	Path of files that do not require virus scanning. In the File Path Not Scanned text box, enter file paths and separate them with colons (:) or by pressing Enter. You can enter maximum of 100 file paths. Each file path contains 1 to 1791 characters, must start with a slash (/), and cannot contain special characters: \":|<>*?.
   Largest Scannable File	Select Limit and set a file size. Files whose size is smaller than or equal to the value will be scanned for viruses. NOTE: If you do not select Limit, the size of files to be scanned for viruses is not limited.
   Schedule Type	Schedule type of the scan policy. The options are as follows: Weekly Scan for viruses at a fixed time every week. You need to set Week, Start Time, and Duration. Periodic Scan for viruses periodically. You need to set Execution Period, Start Time, and Duration. Manual Do not set automatic scanning. Start virus scanning manually.

5. Click OK.
