Adding an Antivirus Server

Prerequisites

• Antivirus servers and antivirus agents are running properly.

  It is recommended that each controller be configured with a service port that can be connected to an antivirus server and their IP addresses be in the same LAN. You can run a ping command on the antivirus server to check the connectivity between a controller and its service port. In the firewall settings of an antivirus server, ensure that the CIFS service (using TCP port 445) of the storage system can be accessed.

• For accounts with the antivirus service enabled, you must configure at least two antivirus servers. For accounts with real-time scanning enabled, the number of antivirus servers must be greater than or equal to that of controllers.

Procedure

1. Choose Settings > Data Security > Antivirus Service.
2. Select a desired account from the Account drop-down list in the upper left corner.
3. Perform the following operations to go to the Add Antivirus Server page.
   • If no antivirus server is configured, click Add Antivirus Server.
   • If an antivirus server has been configured, click Manage Antivirus Server. On the Manage Antivirus Server page that is displayed, click Add.

4. Set antivirus server parameters.
   Table 1 describes related parameters.

   Table 1 Antivirus server parameters

   Parameter	Description
   Name	Name of an antivirus server. [Value range] The name contains 1 to 127 characters. The name can contain only letters, digits, underscores (_), hyphens (-), and periods (.). The name must be unique.
   Vendor	Vendor of the antivirus server software. [Value range] Possible values are Symantec Protection Engine, McAfee/Trellix Endpoint Security, Sophos Endpoint Protection, Trend Micro ServerProtect, Kaspersky Antivirus Protection, Rising Virtualization Security (Storage Safe), OPSWAT MetaDefender ICAP Server Enhance, and Universal Share Open Server.
   IP Address	IPv4 or IPv6 address of the service network port of the antivirus server. NOTE: If Vendor is set to Symantec Protection Engine, only IPv4 addresses are supported.
   Port	Port number used by an antivirus server. [Value range] The value is an integer from 1 to 65535. NOTE: The port number must be the same as the ID of the agent startup port configured on the antivirus server. You can click Test to verify the connectivity of the added antivirus server.

5. Click Download Now to download the antivirus agent plug-in and install it on the antivirus server to ensure that the antivirus function works properly.
   

   If an antivirus agent has been downloaded, skip this step.

6. Click OK.

   Confirm your operation as prompted.

Follow-up Procedure

After adding an antivirus server, choose Settings > Data Security > Antivirus Service and enable the antivirus service. Then you can use it.
