This section describes how to delete a snapshot. After a snapshot is deleted, resources it occupies will be released.
Prerequisites
At least one snapshot has been created in the storage system.
Context
If a clone is created for a snapshot, the snapshot can also be deleted. However, after the snapshot is deleted, the storage space of the snapshot is not released until the clone is deleted.
Procedure
- Choose Data Protection > Protection Entity > Volume > Snapshot.
- Select a desired snapshot and choose More > Delete.
You can also click More on the right of a desired snapshot and select Delete.
- Confirm your operation as prompted.
