If alarm masking is enabled, DeviceManager does not monitor or report alarms about specified objects or certain unimportant alarms, thereby improving efficiency in locating faults. These masked alarms are not reported to the upper-layer network management system (NMS), namely, a third-party NMS connected to the storage system.

Procedure
- Choose Settings > Alarm Settings > Alarm Masking.
- View all alarms of the storage system.
