Creating an Object User Mapping

This operation enables you to create a mapping between an object user and a UNIX user and configure permissions for the UNIX user.

Prerequisites

Procedure

  1. Choose Resources > Access > Authentication User > User Mappings > Object to UNIX.
  2. Select the desired account from the Account drop-down list in the upper left corner.
  3. Click Create.

    The Create User Mapping page is displayed on the right.

    You can also click the Object Users tab, click More on the right of the desired object user, and select Create User Mapping to create a mapping for the user. In this case, you do not need to select the mapping mode and source user.

  4. Set basic parameters of the user mapping. Table 1 describes related parameters.

    Mapping Mode

    Object user to UNIX user: After the mapping, a UNIX user can access the resources of an object user through UNIX.

    Source User

    Indicates the source object user.

    Target User

    Indicates the target UNIX user.

  5. Set mapping permissions of the UNIX user. Table 2 describes related parameters.

  6. Click OK.
