Creating a Snapshot

This section describes how to create a snapshot for a volume to generate a copy of source volume data.

Procedure

  1. Choose Resources > Resources > Volume > Volume.
  2. Select the desired account from the Account drop-down list in the upper left corner.
  3. Select one or more desired volumes and click Create Snapshot.

    The Create Snapshot page is displayed.

    You can also click More on the right of a desired volume and select Create Snapshot.

  4. Set the snapshot name.

    • The name must be unique.
    • The name can contain only letters, digits, underscores (_), hyphens (-), and periods (.).
    • The name contains 1 to 95 characters.

  5. Click OK.
  6. Confirm your operation as prompted.
