Modifying a Local UNIX Authentication User

This section describes how to modify the ID, owning primary group, and description of a local UNIX authentication user.

Procedure

  1. Choose Resources > Access > Authentication User > UNIX Users > Local Authentication User.
  2. Select the desired account from the Account drop-down list in the upper left corner.
  3. Click More on the right of the desired local UNIX authentication user and select Modify.

    The Modify Local UNIX Authentication User page is displayed on the right.

  4. Modify properties of the local UNIX authentication user.

    Table 1 describes related parameters.

    Parameter

    Description

    ID

    Indicates the ID of the local UNIX authentication user.

    Primary Group

    Indicates the primary user group to which the local UNIX authentication user belongs. You can click Select and select a user group on the Select Primary Group page that is displayed.

    Description

    Indicates the description of the local UNIX authentication user.

    NOTE:

    The description can be left blank or contain up to 255 characters.

  5. Click OK.
