Setting the Antivirus Service

This section describes how to enable or disable the antivirus service.

Prerequisites

An antivirus server has been configured and is running properly.

Procedure

  1. Choose Settings > Data Security > Antivirus Service.
  2. Select a desired account from the Account drop-down list in the upper left corner.
  3. Enable Antivirus Service.
  4. (Optional) Click Scan for Authorized User or User Group. On the Local Authentication User Group tab page, set the authorized users or user groups.

    Before sharing a namespace for which antivirus scan is required, you need to create a local authentication user group that only has the SeAntiVirusPrivilege privilege and add the AD domain users or user groups to this local authentication user group. The antivirus server uses the AD domain users or user groups in this user group to access the namespace to be scanned.
